Basketball dominates the top of this week's cable sports ratings, taking 14 of the top 15 spots, between the college and pro game. Kansas vs Kentucky, on Saturday night, was the top draw of the week, with 2.8 million viewers, while the NBA match of Golden State vs the Lakers, pulled in a 1.0 demographic rating. Read more »

The last full week in January saw all three cable news networks battle for the top spot in the ratings. Just one one-hundredth of a point separates the three networks, in the A18-49 demographic. CNN and FOX News saw slight gains in the category, while MSNBC fell back, from last week. The full Nielsen broadcast program rankings and ratings :    It was CBS's turn to dominate the ratings, thanks for a great showing by the AFC Championship game, played on Sunday night. The game pulled in over 53.9 million viewers, over most of the four hours of primetime. CBS had 19 of the top 30 programs, including eight in the top 10. NBC pushed seven shows in the top 30, with AGT: THE CHAMPIONS leading the way, at #7. ABC had four shows, leaving just one spot for FOX. Read more »

Sunday's late afternoon game, between the Eagles and the Saints, commanded 38.2 million viewers and a 11 rating in Adults 18-49. It was the only game that was competitive throughout the game. FNC had the highest rated coverage, with the 9 PM hour grabbing 7.1 million viewers and a solid 0.9 rating in Adults 18-49. What We Do in the Shadows is a half-hour comedy series based on the feature film of the same name by co-creators Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi. The syndication ratings, for the week of December 24, 2018, were down for the first week of the holidays, with most shows dropping from the previous week. JUDGE JUDY saw a full point lost, from a 7.0 rating down to a 6.0 rating. ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT and DR. PHIL had the biggest percentage losses, at  21%, week-to-week. On the flip side, a few shows saw gains during the week of Christmas. LIVE w/KELLY & RYAN was up 5% and NBCU's LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT saw a 23% increase. Read more »
